Regular Exercise Can Make You Happier

The results of recent studies published in the Journal of Sport & Exercise Psychology added one more benefit of exercise, namely to make happy. Research conducted by researchers at Penn State University, USA found that the more a person involved in sporting activities, the greater the feeling of pleasure and enthusiasm that they get - than those who seldom exercise.

"We found that people who are more physically active are more active than the feeling of excitement that is rarely the physical process. We also found that people are happier in the days when they exercise than when they do not exercise," said Amanda Hyde, a member of the research team as Huffingtonpost reported.

The study analyzed the daily activities of 190 students. Respondents were asked to keep a journal about the number and level of physical activity they do during recess (about 15 minutes or more). They are also required to record the quality of sleep every night, and overall mental state (such as stress or other emotions). For eight days, in every night, the respondents gave their note to the researcher.

Of these records are known to exist in addition to physical benefits to be gained by physical exercise. Exercise is more intense than usual to enable a sense of fun.

"So from now on if you want to improve mood, do some moderate to high intensity exercise," says Amanda.

Moderate-intensity exercise can include brisk walking or jogging. While high-intensity exercise can be done with aerobics, swimming or cycling.

Previous studies have also been made to link sports with an increase in a person's mood. A study published in the Journal of Business and Psychology suggests, the boss who never exercise are more prone to stress and fierce on the employees when compared with a boss who took exercise.
